Water main works planned for Bucasia Esplanade, Bucasia. These works are essential to ensure the long-term reliability of our water network.

These construction works will continue on from the Waverley Street water main works that are currently under way in the area.

Construction is scheduled to start late October with survey and preparatory works taking place the week prior. The works are expected to take about 12 weeks to complete, weather permitting. Works will be completed Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm, extending to 6pm and weekends if required.

These works will be completed under traffic control, please follow all site signage in place.

The works will require some driveways to be removed and then reinstated at the end of the works. Residents directly affected will be contacted by the site supervisor prior to the works to discuss access requirements. We will be investigating six trees for trimming or removal to allow for the water main works.

There will be some water interruptions. Affected residents will receive 48 hours’ notice of any water interruptions and every effort will be made to ensure interruptions are scheduled at a time that will have the least impact.

As part of the works, we will continue to utilise the compound that is located at Walters Avenue end of Bucasia Esplanade. This compound is currently being used for plant and equipment storage for the Waverley Street water main renewal.

Some noise and dust disturbances may occur with various plant and equipment on site. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and we appreciate your patience during these essential works.

If you have any queries, please contact site supervisor Carl Teske on 0436 812 948 or project manager Sing Wai Lam on 1300 MACKAY (622 529).
