Graffunder St kerb and channel works

Local contractor Vassallo Constructions Pty Ltd will be undertaking kerb and channel upgrades to improve drainage to a section of road in Graffunder Street in South Mackay.

The scope of works will include kerb and channel replacement within the area of works on the northern side of the street.

Works are expected to commence from Monday, July 3, 2023. These works are expected to take approximately five weeks to complete, weather permitting. The work hours are Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 6pm and Saturday from 7am to 5pm, as required.

The work will require some driveways within the works area to be removed during construction and reinstated at the end of the works. Residents directly affected will be contacted by the site supervisor prior to the works to discuss access requirements.

The work area along Graffunder Street will be reduced to one-way traffic on the northern side. Detours will be in place for the duration of the works, please follow site signage.

There will be some minor noise and dust disturbances due to various plant and equipment that will be used onsite.

All attempts will be made to minimise the impact on residents and road users.
