Marian reservoir upgrade

Project update: This project is completed.

Works on Marian No. 1 reservoir will eliminate the need to build a new reservoir in the near future saving ratepayers money.

The ground-level reservoir, located on Mackay-Eungella Road, provides water storage for the Marian township.

The works are set to begin March 9 and are expected to run until the end July 2023, weather permitting.

Work will take place Monday to Friday, between 6.30am and 6.30pm, and Saturdays when required. Impacts to residents are expected to be minimal with some possibly experiencing low water pressure at times during works.

Motorists using Mackay-Eungella Road are asked to be cautious as additional trucks will be entering and exiting the site. Motorists are advised to follow any traffic management in place.
