How did flood waters from Cyclone Debbie impact you?

Cyclone Debbie ripped through our region in March 2017.
This saw flooding that some residents say was the worst they have ever seen.
The community provided valuable feedback on the flooding they experienced during severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie in Sandy Creek, Rocky Dam Creek and Funnel Creek catchment areas at various community consultation sessions held earlier this year.
The information was used to calibrate the models used in the draft flood studies and determine areas where council can improve rainfall and river data collection into the future.

Council was successful in receiving funding assistance to undertake the flood studies from the Australian and Queensland Governments through the 2017- 2018 Natural Disaster Resilience Program (NDRP).
