Council's Field Services crew, on behalf of Translink, is constructing a new bus stop at Chelona State School on Dunnrock Road to improve passenger and road user safety.

The works will include:

  • A new concrete bus stop slab.
  • A double-sided bus shelter.
  • A new 2.5 metre concrete footpath from the bus stop to Chelona School Access Road.

Council will undertake the works, Monday to Friday, 6am to 6pm and on weekends as required. They are expected to complete the works by late-March, weather permitting.

Please note, there will be some minor noise and dust disturbances associated with these works and traffic control will be used when heavy vehicles require access to the site.

Should you have any questions about these works, please contact council's Project Manager Ben Crowley on 1300 MACKAY (622 529).

This project is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through the School Transport and Infrastructure Program.
