Come to Play
Encouraging residents outdoors and to participate in a wide range of recreational activities
The development of Woodlands District Park will encourage residents to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. The project will extend the shared pathway system to encourage cycling and walking and improve accessibility to the site.
We will also be fast tracking the development of inclusive all-abilities playground facilities thanks to a $1.5 million commitment from council. This is on top of $2 million in funding provided through the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland program to undertake the initial works proposed as part of the master plan.
The playground will complement the development of the Woodlands Track, which will offer a safe riding environment for all ages and every type of wheeled device including bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller blades and skates as well as jogging and running.
