Free regional placemaking workshops

Do you have an idea for a creative project that could benefit your area?
Learn how to make your ideas a reality at one of council's four free workshops:

• Sarina - Wednesday, August 16
  5.15pm to 8pm at The Roots Cafe, 46 Broad Street
• Mackay city - Thursday, August 17
  8am to 10.30am at Gallery 31
• Pioneer Valley - Thursday, August 17
  5.15pm to 8pm at Badila Art Gallery
• Northern Beaches - Friday, August 18
  9am to 11.30am at Northern Beaches Bowls Club

What to expect:

• Participate in a 2.5-hour interactive session.
• Learn about placemaking techniques and strategy.
• Get inspired by unique case studies from across Australia and beyond.
• Explore your community's identity and discover opportunities for placemaking that leverage your unique assets.
• Workshop your idea with fellow passionate community members.

This project will focus on placemaking across the entire Mackay region. The Pioneer Valley session is separate to the ongoing placemaking and public realm work related to the Pioneer Valley mountain bike trail project and the Finch Hatton streetscape revitalisation.
