Glenella Connection Road water main augmentation

Mackay Regional Council will be upgrading the water network along Glenella Connection Road to meet infrastructure standards and increase its reliability.

Work is expected to take place from Sunday, February 9 to Sunday, March 2, weather permitting. Some weekend work may also be required.

Nightwork will be undertaken Sunday to Friday, from 6pm to 4am.

There may be interruptions to the water supply during the works. Affected properties will be provided with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice before a planned interruption. Where possible, effort will be made to ensure interruptions are scheduled at a time that will have the least impact.

While works are underway, a partial road closure will be in place, with the southbound lane (toward Lagoon St) closed, from Heaths Road roundabout to Fursden Creek bridge, during working hours. See the work map here.

Property access may be intermittently affected during the works. The site supervisor listed below can be contacted if any issues arise with access.
