Project update: This project is complete.
Mackay Regional Council wishes to advise we will be undertaking pavement rehabilitation works on Glenella-Richmond Road between Mackay-Habana Road and Holts Road.
As part of the works, the road will also be widened and the length of culverts increased.
The work is scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 15, 2021, weather permitting. These works are expected to be completed during February, 2022. Work will be undertaken during the hours of 6am to 6pm from Monday to Friday. Some weekend work may be required.
A road closure will be in place and the street will only be accessible by residents for the duration of the project. Please refer to the local access zone of the map below.
There will be some noise and dust disturbances with various plant and equipment on-site.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and we appreciate your patience during these essential works.

Glenella-Richmond Road is now open to traffic!
There are still some minor works left to complete, so please drive to the conditions and obey all signage in the area.
