Project update: As part of these works, a new sewer manhole will be constructed in Ungerer Street to allow for connection of the new rising main to the existing network.

The works will begin on Monday, September 23, and will take place between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, for no more than two weeks, weather permitting. Some weekend work may be required.

During this time, a section of Ungerer Street between Grendon and Graves streets will be closed.

Only residents living in this section of Ungerer Street may access their properties during the road closure. Please refer to the local access zones on the map overleaf.

Please be aware that vehicles are not able to travel through the area of works indicated on the map. Vehicles will need to enter the local access zones either via the Graves Street intersection or from Grendon Street depending on the location of their residence.

Detours will be in place and motorists are asked to follow all traffic signage.

Council thanks you for your patience while these essential works are under way.

Council is upgrading the sewer rising main at Hamilton, Graves and Ungerer streets. These works will improve the sewer network. Please refer to map below for the area of works.

Works will begin on Wednesday, April 10, weather permitting.

Works will be undertaken from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work may also be required.

The work will be undertaken progressively with construction beginning in Ungerer Street followed by Graves Street then move to Hamilton Street.

During the project, traffic control is expected to be in place for one week along Ungerer Street. Minimal traffic delays are expected.

A road closure on Hamilton Street will be in place for one day towards the end of the project.

As the works involve digging a trench within the road reserve in the area of works, driveways on the western side of Graves Street and the northern side of Ungerer Street will need to be removed and reinstated during construction. The site supervisor will be in contact with these residents to discuss their access requirements prior to driveway works commencing.

There will also be some noise and dust disturbances with various plant and equipment on site and some minor tree trimming.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and we appreciate your patience during these essential works.

If you have any queries, please contact Carl Teske on 0436 812 948 or 1300 MACKAY (622 529).
