Mackay Regional Council is excited to announce that we are developing a Place Strategy for the Mackay Waterfront including the City Centre and Riverside precincts.

About the project:

The Place Strategy project will help:

  • Align efforts to activate the city across council and stakeholder groups.
  • Map a strategy to progress short term actions, confident these actions are heading toward long-term objectives.
  • Connect community members who want to make a difference in Mackay.
  • Help people to develop their ideas into real-life activation events to test and trial in the Precincts.
  • Make our Mackay Waterfront – City Centre and Riverside precincts more active and vibrant places for everyone.

As we work to create the Place Strategy, you can continue to submit ideas for events, activations and new programmes or projects at the Mackay Waterfront via https://form.typeform.com/to/YKquxP6w.
