Upgrades to drainage at McGinn and Simpson streets intersection

Mackay Regional Council wishes to inform you that we will be completing stormwater drainage upgrades to improve drainage in your area at the intersection of McGinn and Simpson streets. Please see map in the photo's panel.

Work is expected to start Monday, November 21, and is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete, weather pending.

These works will take place between 6.30am and 6.30pm between Monday to Friday.

Traffic control will be in place for the works, including detours, and we ask that all motorists please follow all site signage.

Local access will remain available for the residents of McGinn and Simpson streets during the works.

Pedestrian access will remain available during the works.

Some noise and dust disruptions are expected due to the various plant and equipment on site; however, appropriate controls will be in place to minimise impacts.

There will be some driveway interruptions, however, residents will be contacted by the site supervisor prior to works starting to discuss access requirements.

Council is appreciative of your patience and apologises for any inconvenience caused during these works.

Should you have any questions about these works, please contact the project manager, Sing Wai Lam or our site supervisor Pat Davis on 1300 MACKAY (622 529).
