Project Update #3: Monday, June 15, 2020

The new shade structure is complete and installation of the towers is under way

We are full steam ahead. All of the old play equipment has been removed and the new roofed shade structure has been erected to ensure weather protection is provided to the existing equipment underneath which is to remain. Installation of the new climbing towers and other pieces of play equipment are under way.

We would like to remind the community while the equipment is being renewed, that the Northview Park playground is expected to be closed until the end of June. During construction the public toilets and picnic facilities will remain operational.

Looking for an alternative playground whilst Northview Park’s playground is under construction?
You can visit: Baxter Drive Park, Glenfields Drive Park, Jardine Drive Park, Mansfield Drive Park. Annie Woods Park or the new Mackay Sugar Bowl co-located with the PCYC on Park Drive off Norris Road.

We thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused by these works.
