Consultation has concluded

Fergus Builders have completed the Pioneer River Levee bank extension within the Mackay Community Gardens in Sarah Street, West Mackay.

The works were undertaken as part of council's Flood Mitigation Strategy to reduce the risk of flooding from the Pioneer River.

The works included the extension of the levee bank wall, a new block wall and a floodgate.
