Following extensive consultation with the community council has developed a long-term vision for the Seaforth Esplanade.
The Seaforth Master Plan will guide future development of this key beachfront area.
Council is planning improvements to Seaforth Esplanade and have prepared a master plan to guide future development of this key beachfront area.
The idyllic 5.77ha Seaforth Esplanade Reserve boasts beautiful ocean views and open spaces. It is a sought-after destination for residents of Seaforth and surrounding areas, along with visitors from within the Mackay region and beyond.
In partnership with the community, our aim is to transform the Seaforth Esplanade into a vibrant recreational asset to better service the needs of residents, as well as those lucky enough to be staying at the popular camping grounds or visiting the regular weekend markets held onsite.
The preparation of the final master plan for the park is complete and will be used to guide the esplanade’s future development.
