Contractor Roebuck Civil, on behalf of Mackay Regional Council, will be undertaking refurbishment works at five sewerage pump stations (SPS) in the Mackay region to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our stations.

The following stations will be refurbished; Patch Street SPS, Shakespeare Street SPS, Galashiels Street SPS, Broomdykes Drive SPS and Graffunder Street SPS.

The works will include:

  • The replacement of pipework and fittings.
  • Replacement of pumps.
  • Relining of wet wells.
  • Replacement of existing access covers.
  • Construction of a new pump-out connection point.
  • Construction of a new flow meter pit.
  • Installation of new power board improvements.

The works are expected to be completed by March 2026, weather permitting.
